Get your history and your cardio in one go! Your expert running guide will meet you at Kollwitzplatz, and together we’ll trace the scars of Berlin history while weaving through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. This isn’t a race—it’s a relaxed, history-filled jog that connects Cold War history, Berlin’s Jewish heritage, and the Berlin Wall. Or, as we like to call it, David Hasselhoff’s arch nemesis. (He was looking for freedom, and boy, he found it.)
Along the way, you’ll:
- Jog through Mauerpark, where remnants of the Wall turned into Berlin’s most colorful outdoor canvas
- Explore the Berlin Wall Memorial (Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer) and walk through the former death strip
- Pass Nordbahnhof, once part of a daring underground escape route
- Marvel at the golden dome of the Neue Synagoge, Germany’s largest synagogue
- Run across Museum Island, home to world-class collections and stunning architecture
- Stroll down the royal boulevard, Unter den Linden
- Pause for reflection at the Neue Wache, Germany’s central war memorial
- Finish with a sprint to the Brandenburg Gate, where Napoleon marched, Eliud Kipchoge set marathon records, and Indiana Jones (kind of) saved the day
- Tour can be extended two kilometers to include the Reichstag building
